Terms of Use
Effective date: October 30, 2026
Rootbook is a project by Gordon Rojo of Sprouts Studio ("we," "us"). These terms explain the rules for using rootbook.page and any Rootbook service we give you access to. By using the site, you agree to them.
Using Rootbook
You must be able to form a contract where you live, and you must give us accurate information. Keep your login details safe and tell us right away if someone else uses your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
The waitlist
Joining the waitlist is not a promise of access. We decide who gets early access and when, and we may change, pause, or end the waitlist at any time. We will email you when there is news about your spot.
Your content
The notes, client details, and other material you add to Rootbook stay yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you, and to keep it backed up and safe. Please only add client information you are allowed to hold.
Fair use
Do not use Rootbook to break the law, to harm others, or to send messages people did not ask for. Do not try to break into, disrupt, or copy the service, and do not use it to store anything illegal or abusive.
Our responsibilities
We build Rootbook to be reliable and careful with your data, but the service is offered as it is. We may need to update, change, or pause features as we learn what practitioners need. We will give notice where we reasonably can.
Payment
Rootbook is free during the waitlist and early access stages. When paid plans exist, their price and terms will be shown before you are charged.
Ending your use
You can stop using Rootbook at any time and ask us to delete your information. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or if we have to for legal or safety reasons.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses or for anything outside our control, and our total responsibility for any claim related to Rootbook is limited to what you paid us in the last twelve months, or one hundred US dollars if you have not paid anything.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update the effective date above and, when the changes matter to you, we will tell you before they take effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Guatemala, where Rootbook is operated, without affecting rights you cannot waive where you live.
